Gina, no recent reports as of yet. But I should have lots of info after the MEMORIAL DAY weekend. The river up there is starting to drop so the fishing around Mack’s Inn should start to get better!

I just tried to launch at Twin Lakes reservior on 6/15/16. First i drove to the inspection station, south of Preston on Hwy 91 and got my inspection and invasive species passport. Then on to Twin Lakes. When i arrived, I paid my $5.00 daily use fee. I then go to the boat ramp for another “inspection”. I showed him my passport, then the kid asked me for a $20.00 launch fee! Im not paying that!!! Im on my to Oneida reservior. I’m hope IF&G looks in to this matter.

Here are the restrictions put on the reservoirs in Franklin County. Glendale and Twin Lakes have a person there daily to check to see if you have a current, meaning that day, State Inspection from the State run Inspection stations. Closest to this area is at Franklin City on Id/UT border. Here are the regs:

A verification checkpoint will be staffed 7 days a week from 7 am to 7 pm The cost for verification per watercraft will be $10.00 for Franklin county residents and $20.00 for out of county. The license plate of the tow vehicle and driver license will prove residency. No cash accepted just debit/credit cards and local checks.

The verification staff will be asking for proof of a ISDA inspection form/passbook for any watercraft that has left the county AND a 2016 invasive sticker attached to vessel or Idaho boat registration. The ISDA form must then be displayed on the dashboard of tow vehicle. County residents need to visit the ISDA station within 5 days of launching or have an ISDA trailer/boat orange tag.

ISDA stations are open all daylight hours. One is located at Highway 91 in Franklin City. Others at state line roads throughout Idaho.

Also, there now is an online petition to get better cooperation and increased funding within the State and specific to Franklin County to help stop the duplication of check stations. Here is the link to that petition:

    http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/increase-quagga-mussel-inspection-stations-in

Good luck and catch the big one 🙂

Heads up to anyone planning on Launching at Glendale Reservoir…..the Fee to Launch is $20.00! They do not take Cash. Square Transactions only. Fished the lake on 3 June and contrary to published accounts Ski & Wake Boats as well as Jet Skis/PWC’s were on the lake. Bass were hitting well on 4″ Green Pumpkin Senko’s. Weightless worked the best. No Fish were on beds and seemed to be pre-spawning.

It would be awesome if each body of water on this report had an “updated date” rather than just the updated date at the top. That way we would know how current the information is for each body of water.

To bad twin lakes, winder and condie has been shut down, I think Franklin County is ran by the canal company and have seen more effort in a monkey shit fight at the zoo than the way those places are ran especially twin lakes. I’m sure many of you have had the pleasure of dealing with the so called camp ground host, it’s ran like a prison camp, she is like tweaked out and has all these made up rules about everything hell my 2 year olds daycare has less rules. It’s sad to see such a neat place fall into pieces. I under stand the aquatic mussel scare but most fisher man take good care of there boats and clean them. The sportsman pay for the docks and the planting of fishis and this is how it ends? I have heard their also worried about the dam erosion from waves from boats, but come on the dam was built back 80 plus years ago, time to take some of that money from over charging to camp there a do some repairs! Or just out gates up so nobody can go in and get their day ruined by the twin lakes camp nazi!

      Leavitt,

That would be awesome. John, one of our fishing guys, collects the fishing reports info from different people who come in the shop or call him to chat about fishing. He also does a LOT of fishing himself. Any additional info is greatly appreciated. You can either give him a call directly (or come into the shop) at our store on South 5th ave 208 232 8722, add a comment to the fishing report page you have an update for, or shoot us an email with your comments to support@elementoutfitters.com.

Thank you, we look forward to your reports.
