SNAKE RIVER OUTDOOR SPORTS TO CHANGE NAME TO “ELEMENT OUTFITTERS”
Change Taking Place to Support Expanding Customer Base
Just over 2 years ago Ace Hardware & Outdoor Sports went through an expansion, and along with that came a name change. They opened Snake River Outdoor Sports, a new “brick & mortar” shop at the north end of town, to support the void left after a large national retail sporting goods chain pulled out of the community.
In just 2 short years Snake River has seen a dramatic increase in business and has expanded into the e-commerce world. With that change, comes a new name, Element Outfitters, and an expanded product selection for customers both locally and online. Co-owner Paul Gebo couldn’t be more excited.
“You know, it’s a risky thing to change the name of your business. Our on-line customers are from all over the country, so we wanted a name that appeals to a national demographic, as well as our local customer. Our goal is to become your one-stop destination for camping, hunting, fishing, climbing and paddle-sports activities. Our product offerings have evolved with our expanded customer base. We have added new lines such as TOMS, Mathews Archery, GoPro, and Big Agnes, just to name a few.”
Co-owner Stacie Gebo has spear-headed the development of the website. “The staff has been working behind the scenes for nearly a year getting the website ready for the public. We want our customers to be able to have a pleasant shopping experience with us both in the store, and online. Some customers don’t have access to, or time to visit a local shop. Our website gives those customers access to those products. Our goal is to provide products for people in their “element” at the best possible price and value.”
Locally, new signs will be installed on both storefronts by September 20th. A grand re-opening is planned with giveaways from top vendors. Online there will be plenty of “web-only” specials along with daily giveaways both on the website and in-store.
